Known for “the best a man can get”, Gillette asks the question to a variety of women “what’s the perfect length for your man?” Obviously referring to of shaving habits and facial hair, they showed it with extreme undertones of penis jokes. These jokes get worse and worse until the end of the commercial were they remind the audience they are of course referring to shaving, and provide a “proven statistic” on their research. This statistic provides a newfound fact stating sixty five percent of women prefer a man with a clean shave. The fact represents the desires of women thus creating a new stereotype of masculinity. With such a statistic they deem themselves accountable for providing this new image of men.
